I’ve found a holy grail in the Maybelline FitMe Loose Finishing Powder.

I’ve spent the last 4-5 months searching for a new powder that isn’t Laura Mercier (not because I don’t like it but because I got bored and really wanted to discover something better or equally as good) and after going through 3 or 4 different powders I finally found one that I’m obsessed with and it’s from the DRUG STORE. That’s right guys, after trying Marcelle (by recommendation), and even It Cosmetics, I’ve found a holy grail in the Maybelline FitMe Loose Finishing Powder.

I ended up buying this one because I’ve seen NikkieTutorials use it all the time so I figured it wouldn’t be too bad. I bought shade 05 Fair and I LOVE how it instantly brightens up my under eye all while giving it a silky smooth finish. I also discovered that my favorite brush to use it with believe it or not is the Sephora VIB Rouge Pro Mini Flawless Airbrush that Sephora was gifting out last year. This brush literally sat in the little bag that it came in for like 10 months because I forgot I even had it, and then miraculously I had a strange feeling that it would be good for powder and I was right! The brush is small (travel sized) yet soft and fluffy and is just perfect to either pack/bake the powder on or even to apply it sparsely to other areas.

But is it better than the Laura Mercier?

Well, I honestly don’t know if I will ever find a powder BETTER than LM, but I would say that this powder is a close second for me for sure. I’ve been using it non-stop since I got it and I will definitely be re-buying it!

Much love,

  1. I’ll have to put this on the list to try! I love LM, but don’t reach for loose powders as much strictly because of time/convenience.

  2. I havent tried the LM till now- im that out of sync, but I have been loving the la praire one and its HUGE. I am divided between the La Mer, Laura Mercier and the Etheral and Peach Perfect Powder by Too Faced. Which would you recommend?
