Once again I’ve managed to get my greedy hands on some more Pixi skin care products! This brand has slowly become a skin-care holy grail for me and every time I get to try a new product, I love them even more. For those of you that haven’t read my original Pixi post (here), Pixi is the first skin care brand that actually fixed my face. After using a variety of their products one night, I woke up to a clear, acne-less face, no joke!
I’ve already been using the Glow Tonic in pad form (already wet pads) and it’s the best toner that I’ve ever used, so I was thrilled when I got two bottles from my dear friend @thedailyvogue. A huge plus for me is the fact that it’s alcohol free because my skin is highly sensitive to alcohol, plus I can’t stand the smell. The tonic is meant to tone, tighten and firm your skin while increasing brightness and removing dead skin cells which it does terrifically. You will definitely notice a change right away.
How to use: After cleanser, use with a cotton pad and skim across the face and neck (make sure you avoid eyes). Can be used both AM and PM.
The rose oil I just got for the first time, and I’m actually thrilled because I was contemplating buying the Farsali Rose Gold Elixir which is now definitely unnecessary after using the Pixi version (which is way cheaper at $24.00 USD while the Farsali is $54.00 USD for the same sized bottle). This oil is a simply amazing blend of rose-hip, jojoba, pomegranate seed and rose geranium oils. This youth-preserving oil blend will improve your skins’ glow, complexion and elasticity all while smelling (but not overwhelming) like a bouquet of roses! The oil itself is a bit on the thicker side, but I find that it doesn’t bother me at all as it absorbs really quickly. This is really a great product for winter time, as my skin becomes unbearably dry. Normally I use the oil in the morning before I put my makeup on, (sometimes I even just wear the oil without makeup), but I’ve also discovered that if you are having a very dry skin day, adding 2-3 drops to your moisturizer is extremely helpful! Another thing that I use this oil for a lot is adding 2 drops to my beauty blender or brush when I’m blending out my contour. It does exactly what the Farsali oil does but for a much more affordable price! All in all, I’ve noticed a huge change in my skins dryness in the last couple of weeks that I’ve been using this. I will definitely continue buying.
How to use: use in AM before primer to add moisture. Apply 2-3 drops on face and massage into skin. Oil can be used both AM and PM.
Hope you guys enjoyed my tips and tricks! Let me know what you guys use for your winter moisturizers!
