For the last year or so, I’ve been having insane issues with my scalp being insanely itchy which then causes these huge flakes to appear, thus making me look like I have a snow globe on my head. Before you ask, yes I have used Head&Shoulders and yes it does work, however what I’d really enjoy is something that’s going to solve the problem in a more permanent way as opposed to just while using the product.

Not too long ago I was lucky enough to receive some PR from Live Clean, a company that has branded itself as eco-friendly, using plant derived ingredients but at an affordable price. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Live Clean, I’m going to point form some info for you:

Pure Vegan & Cruelty Free

Made with a minimum of 97% plant derived & natural ingredients

Petrolatum, paraben, phtalate and phosphate free

Recyclable packaging

For those of you who know me on a personal level, you’ll know my hair hates me and will get oily literally the second day after washing it. My mom blames it on me twirling my hair all the time but pfft…what do moms know. I was sent over a shampoo and conditioner duo (Rebalancing Shampoo & Conditioner) which is meant to balance out your combination hair (oily roots, dry ends). I’ve been using this duo for about a month now and while I haven’t noticed anything super MIRACULOUS, I can say it has definitely prolonged my hair washing by a day or two, which is a definite improvement.

When it comes to my dry/flaky scalp issues however, this doesn’t help. This is where the Apple Cider Clarifying Shampoo comes into play. I’m currently OBSESSED with this shampoo and only part of that is from the delicious apple scent it has.The clarifying shampoo is a deep cleansing shampoo that I use once or twice a week (depending on how much product has been used on my hair that week) and I’ve noticed a serious improvement with the itchiness of my scalp, and while I still get flaky here and there, there has been a definite drop with the amount of flakes that I have to deal with. Deep cleansing shampoos are great for removing buildup on the scalp from using product, and apple cider vinegar specifically is used to kill the bacteria that cause the buildup in the first place.

You can find Live Clean products in your local drug store, for around $6 a piece (I believe).

Thank you all for reading! As usual, all thoughts and comments are welcomed 🙂

Much love,
