Happy Monday everyone! It’s usually my most hated day of the week BUT today my husband is FINALLY moving to Canada after a year-long wait so I can for once say that I am not upset that it’s a Monday today! It’s a very exciting time in my life as we are finally able to start our life together and the best part is that we get to do it in the autumn! Autumn and Winter are my favorite seasons (I’m weird, I know), its just that fall is so beautiful with all the different colors and lets not forget fall fashion (which is the best in my opinion), and then we get winter with Christmas and all the pretty lights and decorations too (and presents, hehe)! The only downfall for my favorite two seasons, is that my face gets really dry. A couple of weeks ago I decided it was time to finally buy a new night cream and after doing some research and asking a few friends, I decided to buy the Kiehls Ultra Facial Cream. I’d never tried a Kiehls product before because I found them to be really expensive (even though I had heard fantastic things about them) so finally I thought to myself “giirrrl you spend way more on things from Sephora, it’s no biggie!” and I caved and bought it.

I’ve been using the cream for about two weeks now and I’m really happy with it. I mostly use it in the evenings before bed because I do find that its very heavy, but on extra dry days I put it on in the morning as well. I do find that if I wear it throughout the day that my face feels a bit greasy afterwards (especially having make up on with it) but that’s because it’s extremely moisturizing. In my last post I had mentioned how I had a bad reaction to a product recently, and I literally LATHERED this Kiehls cream onto my face daily and I really did notice how my skin was just sucking it up as though it was a person stranded on the Sahara needing water lol! One of the main ingredients in this cream is Antarcticine (a glycoprotein) whose main job is protecting your skin from the cold by facilitating your skin’s retention of natural water reserves. To me this means I picked a great winter-season face cream. Another main ingredient is the Imperata Cylindrica (desert plant extract). This ingredient helps to store and retain moisture, which is what makes it possible for the product to keep you hydrated all day long, and I must say that it really does. Since using the Ultra Facial Cream I have noticed a very large improvement in my skin. My cheeks are the driest points on my face and they are finally started to feel smooth and healthy! I paid $59.00 CDN for this cream and for me so far, it’s worth every penny. I definitely recommend to anyone who battles with dry skin in the winter!

Have any of you ever used this before? Also, if you have any other Kiehls products you think I should try please let me know!

Much love,
